Duke Barrington Basil Gordon “Bear”

My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ancestors are kings and queens, so my human mom gave my a very regal name to follow suit - Duke Barrington Basil Gordon. For short, my human family calls me “Bear”. The tiny humans who are really loud, and crawl and stumble about the house tend to call me “Bear Bear”.

My human mama will sometimes call me “Barrington” in what I call her serious voice. She usually does this when she tells me to eat all of my blueberries. My mama human says they are high in antioxidants, but I don’t care for those little blue balls, so I pick them out if my food and put them on the floor nice and orderly by my bowl. My human mama is really big on me being super healthy. She makes sure I maintain a good diet and exercise regularly. She says it will help keep my heart healthy. She’s the boss, so I don’t have much of a choice. 

Since you’re reading this, you most likely have your eyes on one of my handsome sons or beautiful daughters. Let me begin by saying that I produce some very gorgeous little fur balls. I suppose every dog dad says that about their puppies. 

You’re probably curious to learn more about me. I am considered to be the “man dog of the house”, and am probably the most privileged in comparison to my other fur mates. I consider myself to be a very handsome pure bred Tri Color Cavalier. The fur ladies often compliment me on my smooth silky fur, long lushes ears, and my feathery tail that blows in the wind when I strut around the backyard. I am also in touch with my emotions and can be a bit on the sensitive side at times. I’m often called a cuddle bug by my mama human because I love to burrow myself under the bed covers every night. She lets me pull the bed covers off of her so I can stay nice and warm all night. I don’t mean to brag, but some people tell me that I’m a lot like Leonardo DiCaprio in the Titanic.
